Road to Recovery

My amazing medical team that took very good care of me.

I have finished my treatments!!

When I first began this journey, it felt like the day would never come. No more poking and sticking me with needles or having blood drawn every other week. (Although I do have an upcoming CT scan, but that’s it.) From here on out, I will have follow up appointments for the next year, and the removal of my port that was installed under my skin in the coming months. But no more treatments because I have been healed by God through the assistance of the doctors and medical team.

I had good days and a lot more bad days this second round of chemo. The only thing I was able to do was focus on the current day. I literally took it one day at a time, because that is all that I could do. I am starting to feel better. But my energy level is really low, and I still have some neuropathy in my fingers and toes. So I will have to start focusing on bring up my endurance and weening (slowly) off medications. It takes a lot out of just to get dressed. It’s a good thing I have a treadmill staring at me in my living room…glad I stay in my bedroom…haha. Just kidding, but honestly it will be the next step (literally) in my recovering….exercising. Yuck…But necessary.

Thank you to everyone who have kept me in prayer, donated funds for medical bills, brought food, gave gifts, or just being here for moral support. We love and appreciate everyone of you.

Looking forward to being fully recovered and living life to the fullest!
