Today I can celebrate!! I got to ring the radiation bell. I have completed all of my radiation treatments, 27 in total for the last 6 weeks. The treatments were easy, and I did not feel a thing during them. Even though I did struggle a great deal with the side effects, I had a great medical team that helped me manage the side effects to the best of my ability. Some days were easier than others. I took it one day at a time, step by step. All I knew is that I could only get through today and not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow would worry about itself (Matthew 6:34). But nothing was harder than the 2 treatments that required that I go on a full clear liquid diet…..NO FOOD! Y’all that was the hardest part of this entire ordeal. I love to eat good food. However, it was for only the day before the 2 treatments, and treatment was at 7:30am. As soon as I was done, I made up for it at breakfast. Ha ha!

Now for the best part, I will have a 6 week break, and I will get to enjoy the holidays without worrying about any treatments. I will be going back to finish 3 more chemo treatments starting on December 30. I love Thanksgiving and Christmas! I have a lot to be thankful for this year. I am thankful that God has been with me every step of the way.
